Load changes? Our team has your back.

One of the major hurdles of moving food during the pandemic is having to adapt to unforeseeable changes in orders and overall supply chains. Our customers are often dealing with plant closures, delays in loading or unloading, reduced volume, and changes in pickup and delivery locations.

For example, every week, AJC Logistics moves countless of loads of beef and pork from Midwest plants to destinations throughout North America. A shipper with several meat plants in the region might need to suddenly change a pickup location because of production shortfalls or plant closures. In such situations, a driver in route to the original pickup locations may lose the load or have to drive hundreds of extra miles to the new location.

We understand the difficulties our drivers face in these situations. Our carrier relations specialists are going the extra mile to help them deal with the pandemic’s disruptions.

We’re routinely helping drivers find alternative loads. One of our specialists used his mobile payments app to help a stranded driver buy fuel. Another rep had pizza delivered to a driver waiting out a lengthy pickup delay.

We can’t erase the pandemic’s disruptions in our industry. But we’ll always seek to add any extra effort that can make a big difference in someone’s day.
