COVID-19 can’t be an excuse for reducing service
In these challenging times, customer service is more important than ever. The pandemic should never be an excuse for cutting back on how a company treats its customers. Yet, service reductions are exactly what’s happening at many businesses across all industries.

Like many businesses, we have enabled employees to work at home to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19. And we haven’t missed a beat—everyone continues to deliver the same high level of service you’ve always expected from us. In fact, the pandemic is driving us to get even better.
Last week, a shipper called us with a difficult predicament. Through another trucking company, the shipper had arranged pickup of a load of poultry. The driver was a no-show, so the shipper faced a huge product loss unless another driver could pick up the load within a few hours.
Our team rushed to identify an available refrigerated vehicle nearby. We found a driver finishing one of our loads 200 miles away. He was planning to head for home, but our long-standing relationship with our driver —plus dinner on us—convinced him to take the job.
